Residence Hall Housing

During the summer, on-campus residential halls are available for your attendees. These accommodations are modestly priced and especially well suited to large groups. The University offers 12,000 beds in 45 residence halls situated in six areas, each with it’s own distinct personality.

Southwest Residential Area

The Southwest Residential Area, the largest on campus, houses 5,500 beds in its five high-rise towers, and eleven low-rise residence halls. The area has a more urban feel.

Orchard Hill Residential Area

Overlooking campus, amid rolling hills and apple orchards, is the Orchard Hill Residential Area. The area consists of four seven floor residence halls surrounding a central grassy area known as “The Bowl.”

Central Residential Area

Close to mid-campus lies the Central Residential Area which is made up of nine traditionally-styled buildings.

Northeast Residential Area

The Northeast Residential Area is comprised of nine traditionally-styled buildings that form a quadrangle around a large grassy area known as the “Quad”. Knowlton Hall is also barrier-free and accessible for the physically disabled.

Sylvan Residential Area

Sylvan Residential Area, just up the hill from Northeast, offers suite-style living in a shady wooded area. Each residence hall contains 64 suites. Each suite is a mixture of double and single rooms, a common bathroom, and a common living room.

North Residential Area

The North Residential Area is the newest on campus. Four five-story buildings each with approximately 200 beds in fully air-conditioned apartments. Apartments include four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a living room/kitchen area.
